Navigating urgent, costly repairs.

At our recent 6-monthly compliance check, we discovered a critical issue at a major shopping centre: their emergency lighting was defective. The existing system was outdated, and it looked like repairs would be costly. With prolonged lead times for certain components, the situation demanded an immediate and efficient solution.

Bringing down the cost, without sacrificing innovation.

Understanding the urgency, we swiftly partnered with a leading supplier (Clevertronics) to introduce the Clevertronics Hive system – with a robust network, superior reporting capabilities, and comprehensive ongoing support. Plus, the system’s mesh network connectivity slashed initial setup costs by reducing the need for controllers, which meant it was the optimal solution for budget as well. 

We also secured budget-compliant, quickly accessible replacement fixtures, fast-tracking the process and aligning perfectly with our client’s expectations. Collaboratively, we established a schedule of rates for a gradual transition from the old system and devised a detailed 2–3 year plan to replace over 2,500 old fittings.

Our 7-year partnership with this major shopping centre reached a new milestone with this project. Phase 1 of this multi-stage plan is now complete, setting the foundation for what will soon become the largest Hive site we manage.
